Enniscorthy Credit Union plays an integral part in our community, we are a local Credit Union that is not for profit, we are here to serve our members and the community we live in. Our aim is to support, improve and enhance the lives of our members and the communities that we proudly serve.
When you take out a loan with us, you help us give back to support a variety of community activities – from local schools, local charities, community groups and sports clubs.
Credit unions are all about ‘people helping people’. Enniscorthy Credit Union donates money and resources to the ILCU Foundation. A recent volunteer trip to The Gambia with the Irish League of Credit Unions International Development Foundation (ILCU Foundation) was a prime example of this principle in practice.
On September 13th 2019 Frances Cross, Director Enniscorthy Credit Union travelled to The Gambia for one week, along with six volunteers, from credit unions around Ireland, to participate in the ILCU Foundation Governance Volunteer Programme. The ILCU Foundation, provides financial and technical support to develop strong, sustainable and secure credit union movements in low-income countries.
