Margarita O’Connor was a beloved member of staff in Enniscorthy Credit Union since 2015, and we are all devastated by her loss. She made some very special friends here at ECU, who will miss her dearly. Margarita had a heart of gold; she was a character who loved a party and was always first on the dance floor dragging us all with her.
Margarita loved what the Credit Union stood for, and she volunteered every year to help with our Schools Quiz, she loved watching all the kids huddle together to answer the questions.
When her daughter Rebecca was teaching in St. Aidan’s Parish School she helped arrange visits to the Credit Union for the Senior Infant Classes, these visits are now an annual event and will now be part of Margarita’s legacy.
Our hearts go out to all her loved ones at this very difficult time. On behalf of the Board of Directors, Volunteers and all her colleagues and friends here at ECU we want to offer her husband Donal, son Ashley, daughter Rebecca and Grandson Jack our deepest condolences, as well as the O’Brien and O’Connor families and all her friends. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam.
As a mark of respect to the O’Connor and O’Brien families, our Enniscorthy, Ballymurn & Taghmon offices will close on Saturday December 14th at 11am. We will be open from 8.30am to 11am.
